THE SAC RIVER BLUEGRASS BAND

The Sac River Bluegrass Band was formed 2008 to play Bluegrass Music at various functions and jams in the Springfield  and Southwest Missouri area. We are a group of musicians who enjoy playing traditional Bluegrass, as well as a mix of old time mountain music, Carter Family, and traditional ballads.

SPRINGFIELD FIREHOUSE BLUEGRASS SHOW AND JAM

Effective January 1, 2012, Josh Gilbert is taking over the management and operation of the monthly Bluegrass Show & Jam at the Fireman's Union Hall, 2350 N. Clifton, Springfield, MO.  The Bluegrass Show and Jam will be held on the 1st Saturday night of each month beginning February 4th, 2012.  Admission to the Jam & Show is free.  Donations will be accepted to help meet rental expenses for the facility.

The Jams begin at 4:00 and last until 6:30 pm. Everyone is invited. No experience necessary! If you play Guitar, Banjo, Fiddle, Mandolin, String Bass, or just like to listen, come on down! You will find players at all experience levels participating. If you are just starting out playing and would prefer to sit on the sidelines and strum along, this is a great place to learn.

The Bluegrass Shows will feature 3 bands each month. Show times for the bands will be:
    1st band -  6:30 to 7:15 pm
    2nd band- 7:15 to 8:00 pm
    3rd band- 8:00 to 8:45 pm.

For the February Show, the band lineup will be: 1st- Flat Creek Bluegrass; 2nd- SacRiver Bluegrass; 3rd- Sugar Tree Bluegrass.

Please come on out to the Firehouse and enjoy the fun. Singin' along, clappin, whoopin' and hollerin' are all encouraged!
